Hello and welcome to John Doe and Companies Client Portal Tutorial and Instructions. Here we will discuss the possible uses, benefits, and how-to’s of the Client Portal. If you have any questions, please feel free to send an email to info@johndoeco.com
New Client Login
You will receive an email from Johndoeco.com stating your new username and password. At this point you have two choices to access your client area.
Choice 1
Navigate to http://www.johndoeco.com -> Click on Clients.
This will bring you to the login screen.
Choice 2
Navigate to http://www.johndoeco.com/client/
Login Screen
Login with your email address and temporary password sent to you in the introduction email.
Dashboard
Once you login you will be sent to the Dashboard. Here you will have a list of all your projects, end dates, and progress updates. As this is your first time visiting the Dashboard, it is a good idea to changes your temporary password to a password you will not forget.
Changing your password
To change your password please navigate to Actions -> Change Password. A pop up Modal will display and ask you for your current password, and your new password. You need to enter your new password twice. This is to make sure you did not type it in wrong. Then please click submit.
Viewing your Project
Now that you have changed your password and are now ready to start using the Client Portal. Navigate back to the Dashboard by Clicking Home.
Now that you are at the dashboard, you will see various projects that are assigned to you and are currently being active. Click on one of these projects to see all information pertaining to it.
Viewing Images, Notes, and File Sharing for your Project
When you click on your project you will be taken to a screen with information pertaining to your project. Here you will find, Pictures, Logos, Designs, Word Document, and various other items that are relevant to your project. Each project will have different aspects that will require multiple files to be uploaded. Lets talk about how you can view them.
Images
You will be able to see a thumbnail of the images that are inside. In the example above we have uploaded your sample logo. Once you click on it you will see the full quality images and be able to makes notes or requests.
Notes
On the right of the images you will be able to see your current conversation with the designer and add a new message. Simply click in the box above “Post Message”, type our your messages and post it. The administrator and or designer will be notified of your change and respond back.
Uploading Files
You will be able to upload your own files such as instructions, pictures, and any other materials that we will need to accomplish your project. Uploading them to the client project file is a good way to make sure we receive the information and always have it accessible.
To add a file or link simply click on your project from the dashboard and select the Add File or Add Link on the Right Hand Side.
Simply Fill out the form, Choose which part of the project you want to apply the file or link and submit. The Administrator will be contacted and we can continue to finish your project.
